Your Golf Slice Is Ugly And Here's How To Fix It

If you want to improve your game of golf then you will probably have tried a variety of different things. One common problem with golfers is their swing and very probably a golf slice. There are many recommendations for improving your swing and they vary greatly between things such as posture and technique, equipment, mental attitude and fitness.

All of these are important but the one that tends to be ignored and misunderstood the most is your level of physical fitness. It can possibly be hard to see how improving your fitness level can lead to a better swing but if you think it through carefully it does make sense.

Firstly you need to be able to move your body into the correct positions for taking the shot. This can mean that you are twisting into a series of unnatural positions and unless your muscles are flexible, it can be quite difficult to do this. Obviously with practice this will improve and the more you play the better you will be but there are ways of improving this more quickly.

You also need stamina as you will find that as the game goes on you will start to get tired. You will find that all aspects of your game tend to decline and you may find that your golf slice gets worse because you are getting worn out. You can do general exercise to improve your all over fitness. This should improve your stamina and mean that you can keep your play more consistent throughout the game and you are less likely to feel so tired afterwards which means that you may like to play more often.

However, it can be better if you try some exercises which have been specially formulated for golfers. These will work the muscles that you use when you swing and so will help you to tone those key areas. It will also increase your flexibility and so you should be more able to position yourself correctly when you swing for the ball. You can also incorporate your golf exercises into your warm up and warm down so that you make sure that you are targeting those key areas that you use when you play.

This means that not only should they be more flexible when you start playing but you should not ache so much when you finish as you have warmed down those key areas. You may find that you are surprised at how useful it can be just to d a few simple exercises and how effective they are in improving the way that you play and your score during the game. The more that you do them, the better you will become.

I would not discount golf instruction either. With the proper golf swing mechanics, this ugly swing fault will not haunt you for long!

There are of course many factors which will influence how well you play but if you try just this one simple thing, to do some golf exercises, you should find that you are well on your way towards improving and you can then perhaps work on other aspects as well. You should soon find that you will have a greatly improved golf slice.
