Women Golfers - Learn As the Boys Do!

Everyone loves the game of golf but when you can't play well, it simply isn't any fun. Therefore, you owe it to yourself to work on your game every chance you get, but that does not mean just when you are out on the course. You have to take the time to work on your golf game every day of the year - on and off the course. In that way, you will be ready to play when it comes time to play with all of your friends.

You can learn the greens, learn your strengths and weaknesses, and view how you perform under pressure. On the practice range, you can work on developing your swing and figure out how far you may be able to hit each club. Even on the green, you can work on your feel and your capability to determine a grain or read the green.

If you were a jogger, you would probably practice before ever going out to compete against another. If you were a person who swims, you might swim miles and miles before competing another person in the pool. But the same is usually not true for most people who play golf. For golfers, practice usually doesn't take place. Duffers may warm up before a round, but that's it.

However, the best golf training may happen in the local gym. Golf may seem like an easy sport, but it uses many aspects of overall fitness. One's aerobic level is important because the amount of walking that occurs over a few hours. The average course is almost three miles long, and a round of golf requires a lot of time on the feet.
Strength is also very important because of the many, many times you will swing the clubs during a single round. Even if you are hitting 80 or less, you are still swinging a club over 200 times in a day. You need a lot of strength to swing without wincing or failing in the swing.The best training for golf is rarely done out on the fairways, and it is not always done on the range either. But, that isn't to say that there are not great habits made on the golf course.
Golf training really ought start in the gym. Improve your aerobic power and overall strength and you will witness an incredible improvement in your game.
