Towel Under The Arms In The Golf Swing

By: Curt Smith

Using a towel under the arms in the golf swing is a fantastic drill to teach you to stay connected in your golf swing. Staying connected in golf swing is a powerful method if you have a strong enough core area. If you are weak in your core and doing this drill will result in a much shorter distance with all your clubs.

Many times golfers get their arms disconnected from their bodies, so using a towel under their arms is a great way to teach them how to stay connected...BUT...please remember you can only make partial swings with this drill.

As you reach a certain position on the backswing and on the follow through, the towel will naturally come out. This is not a swing fault, it's because at that point in your golf swing your arms will come further away from your body, which is not a bad thing.

Now...this drill as I mentioned earlier requires you to have a stronger core. There are simple exercises you can do in conjunction with this towel under arms drill to make your golf swing powerful and full of maximum clubhead speed.

You don't have to use just a towel under your arms, you can use a clubhead cover or a spare golf club under your arms to make this golf swing on the range. The clubhead cover works great as you don't have to bring anything extra with you to the range.

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
