To Improve Your Golf A Weight Training Program Is A Good Start

By: Trent

Golfers need to wake up! If they want to end the frustration of shorter drives with no power, they need to start a golf weight training program right now. I'm not referring to going to a gym 5 days a week for 2 hours each time.

Weight Training 3 Times Per Week

To see an improvement in your golf swing power and distance, you only need to do 3 maybe even just 2 days of weight training per week. You can do that right? Out of 7 days per week doing something 2-3 times for 30 minutes is attainable by any golfer who truly wants to play better golf.

In Your Home Not A Gym

With just a few pieces of inexpensive fitness equipment (stability ball, dumbbells and tubing w/handles) that's all you need for your in-home golf fitness gym. You can even get this stuff at your local Target store.

Having it in your home will remove ALL excuses of time or convenience. With this hurdle out of the way, all you need now is a credible weight training for golfers program. With this in your hands, you are now ready to embark on your new golf power and distance program.

No Machines Allowed

If you want to improve your swing the quickest way, you'll not use any machines to do it. Machines will not strengthen your golf swing specific muscles. The ONLY way to strengthen those muscles is to get in positions similar to your golf swing and use resistance like the dumbbells, tubing or even the ball.

I see so many golfers heading to the gym and plopping down on machines in hopes for more distance. Not going to happen!
