Some Tips On How To IMMEDIATELY Improve Your Game Of Golf, Part 2

By: Aaron Widener

Prepare your grip. Veteran players will tell you that the might of your turn relies on the strength of your hold. A powerless hold will, more often than not, end in a weak shot. A powerless hold during a strong attempt will result ina wayward angle for the ball in action. Have the proper hold and you will have better handling over the ball.
Warm-ups are important. "But it's just golf," you might say, "all the movements I will do are restricted to whacking the ball, walking to its new location, and hitting it once more." Unfortunately, golf if more than that. Trust it or not, though golf is largely a mental sport, it is also a sport that requires accurate actions of the muscles. Only through preparations will you be able to loosen up your muscles for the challenges that lies ahead. Do some preliminary exercises- like fast, stationary walks, stretches, and even plain joint rotations- prior to a game of golf and you'll immediately see that the parts of your body that ordinarily tightens up during stress-packed periods of the game will be gentler, more relaxed, and set to function better.
Determine the rhythm required for each swing. Rythym pertains to the steadiness of the shot required by a particular shot. It includes the use of the right amount of power through proper shifting of your load, as well as the stability of the motion without unwanted pulls or trembles. No golfer is born with the correct rhythm. Pace is developed and completed through practice.
Condemn the iron. Believe it or not, neophytes in the sport suffer a bad game not because of the inadequacies of their tactics alone, but also because of their pick of the incorrect clubs for particular shots. There is a discipline in picking the correct iron for a specific swing or putt. identify this discipline and you'll be well on your way to becoming a better golfer.
Don't forget the follow up. You see basketball players with their follow through after releasing a shot. It's not that actions following the shot affect the trajectory of the same. It's because thinking about the follow through before it takes place can actually better one's pace. Golf, much similar as basketball and other sports, is a game of rhythm as well, and developing your own follow up can considerably advance your strategy.
