Pulling Your Chip Shots And What To Do About It

By: Mike Schlacter

So here's the scenario. You hit a good drive, an approach shot just off the green, but a simple pitch shot will save par or even get you birdie. You take your waggle, and you PULL IT! Now you're 30 feet left of the hole, with an impossible put for par. Pulling your chip shots, does that sound familiar?

This is a shot that is not that difficult and yet the majority of mid to high handicappers make this mistake more than 50% of the time. Just think if you could fix it once and for all how many strokes you save just from that fault?

You might be hearing some bad tips from your golfing buddies, or maybe you've gotten some from an uncredible website. Either way, finding a proven system to cure this fault is critical to lowering your score and handicap.

The are several possible causes of this fault, but it's up to you to take a step back and analyze how you're approaching this shot and what you are doing from an execution standpoint.

Then once you analyze it, you've got to implement the CORRECT way to succeed, especially under pressure.

I know it sounds easier than it is, but it's all about preparation and then execution.
