Many golfer attempt to stretch, but it is futal and not the right kind of stretching to benefit your golf swing. Take a look at your swing and the awkward positions you are put in. Isolate these positions and create stretches to work those specific muscles.

Isolating your backswing will give you your quickest return on investment of stretching. Rotational stretches where you keep your lower body very still and rotate your upper body as far back as you can are very effective.

Working on your lead shoulder will also give you a bigger turn. Many golfers are restricted in their lead back of the shoulder muscle group. Your rear deltoid (shoulder). Stretching this muscle in your backswing position will give it more range of motion and freedom in your backswing.
