Learn The Role Of The Hips In The Golf Swing

By: Mike T Pedersen

Once you learn the role of the hips in the golf swing and how you can effectively apply this to your swing, you will soon be pounding the ball with so much power, your foursome won't know what hit them. You'll finally be getting the last laugh, instead of getting laughed at!

Hips - It's All In The Rotation

The hips provide power in your swing through a powerful rotation on the downswing. You will want to try to minimize hip rotation on your back swing so you can create torque in your core area.

But on the downswing you want to unleash those hips!

You want to rotate them as quickly (but under control) as possible, making sure the upper body is in sink with the lower body. If you are out of sequence, you are DEAD in the water!

One important thing to remember is that your hips should stay fairly level. There should be no dipping of either side on your back swing or through swing. You must maintain your LEVEL!

The ONLY problem with this!

Most golfers don't have the required hip strength or flexibility to utilize this wonderful power-generator. It's unfortunate, but true.

If you have any physical restrictions in your hips you must address them with a golf-specific training program. If you ignore this step you will NEVER fully reach your golf potential.

So hopefully you've learned the role of the hips in the golf swing...now...

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
