Learn How The Shoulders In Your Golf Swing Create Power

By: Mike T Pedersen

Power in your golf swing comes from clubhead speed and good swing sequence. The shoulders in the golf swing play a critical role in how far and how straight you hit your shots whether it be a drive, fairway wood, hybrid, or iron.

The shoulders create a tremendous amount of power in your golf swing, so learn how to use them effectively and you'll be blasting your drives past your foursome.

When I think of shoulder turn, I think of Tiger Woods.

Tiger gets the biggest turn out of his shoulders, with the least amount of hip turn, which creates a huge amount of core torque, and stored power.

I know you're thinking you'll never be Tiger or have his very high level of strength and flexibility, but why not get the best out of what you have? Focus on being able to rotate your shoulders at least 90 degrees, while only rotating your hips half that or 45 degrees.

This would be ideal for you and you would see a tremendous improvement in your distance with every club in your bag.

You've heard the term "x-factor" and that's exactly what we're talking about. The differential between your shoulders and your hips at the top of your backswing.

The greater the differential the more power you'll have coming down.

So next time you hit balls, be thinking of your shoulders in the golf swing.

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
