How Not To Sway In The Golf Swing

By: Mike T Pedersen

Learning how not to sway in your golf swing can be difficult to accomplish but I have some simple tips and solutions to help you achieve this. You see...I used to sway in my golf swing on both the backswing and the through swing. The end result was a slice, sometimes a shank and never hitting the ball first then the ground like you should.

Make It Rotational

After so many frustrating attempts at stopping the sway in my golf swing, including lessons, and pounding balls, I figured out "on my own" a swing thought that really helps me.

TURN-AND-TURN!

I made the golf swing a pure rotational movement at least in my mind. It WORKED! I was able to cure my sway in my golf swing IMMEDIATELY! No more lessons saving me a TON of money!

Solid Legs

I also was lucky being a fit golfer to be able to rely on using my legs as a base and not some unstable part of my body. Most golfers faulter right here. They have weak and tight legs and can't rely on stability in their golf swing.

I look at my legs as the support to my golf swing, and continue to work on both my strength and flexibility specific to my swing to accomplish this. You MUST do this to!

Rotate Those Hips

Another swing thought I used was making sure my hips rotated and did not move to the side at all. I mean I was a maniac with this...doing drills in front of my mirror for hours a day until I felt I got it.

Here's where strength and flexibility comes in again. If you have developed your golf swing muscles, you will be able to do this with ease. If not, you will struggle and NEVER solve this problem.

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
