Golf Swing Motion Is Completely Misunderstood

By: Mike Schlacter

When you think of the golf swing motion, there's one major movement that is continuous throughout the golf swing. This movement (motion) is critical to enhancing higher clubhead speed and solid ball contact. Do you want me to tell you yet, or do I prolong it and really get you chomping at the bit for the answer?

Okay...I'm going to let the cat out of the bag!

The motion of the golf swing is an inverted circle. There you go! I told you! That's all it is. You don't have to make it anymore difficult than that. If you've ever swung a baseball bat, the golf swing is identical, but it is tilted so you can hit the ball on the ground and not waist high.

So stand erect and make a baseball swing. Now...without thinking about it, bend at the waist and make the same exact swing. Guess what? You just simplified your golf swing in a matter of 30 seconds!

Too many golfers make their golf swing more difficult by breaking it down into a million pieces. This is insanity! This is the exact opposite of what you should do.

When you think of the full golf swing, it is a continuous circular motion from start to finish.

I had this epiphany watching a tour player from behind, and I really saw the club go around his body in this big circle. It hit me like a TON of bricks! I just made my golf swing as easy as could be right there.
