Best Golf Exercises To Infuse Your Golf Swing With Power

By: Mike T Pedersen

Lets cut to the chase and discuss the best golf exercises to add power to your golf swing. I know you don't want to turn into a gym rat or better yet a "muscle head", so why not simplify this process and get you pounding your drives LONG and straight as soon as possible.

Golf-Specific Exercises

The best golf exercises obviously should be as specific to your golf swing as possible. What's that mean? It means most of these exercises should be "on your feet", and preferably in your golf posture.

How many times have you seen a so-called golf exercise book, only to see the golfer SITTING in a controlled machine at the gym? I couldn't believe it when I was reviewing one of my competitions books at the bookstore and there he was...Ernie Els sitting on machines in a gym!

Come on Ernie! That's not golf-specific!

Rotational Exercises

Golf is a rotation, so do as many exercises as you can that incorporates a rotation. Most of these will be for your core, and in a short period of time you will notice a HUGE increase in power and distance.

85% of all your core (ab) exercises should be rotational. Why waste your time with an "old school" sit-up that goes straight up and straight down when your golf swing is the opposite.

Best Golf Exercises

So to recap the best exercises for golf they need to be standing (in golf posture), and they need to be rotational.

That's it!

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
