Basic Golf Swing - Stick To Golf Swing Fundamentals

By: Mike T Pedersen

The basic golf swing is a great approach for the beginner golfer, and golf swing fundamentals should be the main priority. If you don't have the fundamentals down you will struggle with consistency and accuracy. Sticking to the basics means a simpler golf swing that is repeatable.

Get Your Golf Grip Right

The grip is where it all starts. It's your only contact with the club, so it better be solid or you'll have a tough time getting the clubface square at impact.

A good grip will insure consistency and solid ball/clubface contact.

Solid Address Position

Your address position is also critical as it will dictate how well the club goes back on your take away and in what position it will be at the top of your swing. This address has got to be right to ensure your golf swing success.

Golf Posture

Your golf posture will either make it very easy to make a full swing with minimal tension, or one with massive tension and restriction. Improper posture restricts your backswing greatly. Good posture removes all struggle to make a full turn on the way back.

Ball Position

Your ball position dictates where you'll hit the ball. Will it be fat, thin or just at the back of the ball. If you're off by a fraction of an inch it can mean the difference between a clean strike of the ball, or one that is fat or thin.

So the basic golf swing doesn't have to be too difficult.

Do you want to discover the secret to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... AND eliminating ALL your swing faults?
